A sweet and affectionate dog named GlowUp was in an awful condition when brought to the shelter. Her fur was knotted, she had sores all over her body and she appeared as though she has not eaten for weeks. The shelter staff was shocked at her state and started providing immediate medical attention.
Initially, the staff were unsure about GlowUp’s breed. Her hair was tangled and dirty and it was difficult to tell what kind of a dog she looked like underneath. However, as they began to take care of her, they discovered that she had a pretty coat with a different pattern on it. Despite being rugged, GlowUp’s eyes twinkled with great affection while its tail still wagged feebly towards those who took care of it.
With time passing by, GlowUp underwent some changes right in front of the staff in the shelter. They shaved off its fur so that mats could be removed from it revealing another smooth coat beneath. Besides that, there were signs of healing on her wounds and she gained weight. Her determination astonished the employees considering how much resilient she has been during this period.
Despite the fact that the progress she was making, GlowUp was still a long way off. After being diagnosed with mange which is a painful skin condition, her treatment had to be continuous. The team at the shelter tirelessly worked on her; they administered her medication and gave her special food to help in healing.
As she continued to get well, GlowUp’s personality began to emerge. She was a nice-tempered and loving pet who would always yearn for love and fun. Consequently, all of them fell in love with her as fast as it could happen among volunteers.
Nevertheless, it should be noted that GlowUp’s journey wasn’t an easy one. This included both physical and emotional trauma that she faced before coming here. Nonetheless, when calm and caring staff from the shelter took their time helping her out of this state of fear.
However, this glowing day finally came when it was time for GlowUp to find its forever home. They were sad as they saw her leave the shelter, but they knew it was for the best. A loving family which promised to take good care of the adopted GlowUp.
In her new residence, GlowUp went on to thrive. Love and attention from her new family made GlowUp one of them instantly and she cherished that very much. She could then go on long walks, play with toys or cuddle on the couch during movie nights. Her new family gave her a new name which suited her personality, they named her Joy.
GlowUp’s story is a tribute to love and care. Despite all the challenges she faced she never gave up hope. This is a testament that every animal deserves a second chance in life and that with time, compassion and kindness even the most damaged creatures can be mended.
Ultimately, it became an odyssey of transformation for GlowUp. From a broken down battered dog into happy healthy loyal friend; this is what happened to her at last. Her story reminds us that every animal can glow up – grow into their best selves with just some love or attention at times.
What makes us humans?
This is the real question, what makes us humans? Is it the capability to think and make decisions of our own? Or is it the ability to love those around us?
In my opinion, it is our ability to love and care for those not only close to us but anyone who is in need of it. We are supposed to spread happiness around the world. That is what makes us superior to all the other animals and species. Because love has the power to change the word.
Anyone can get healthy and happy is provided with enough love and care be it any human or animal. We are all connected and bonded to each other by love.
